Dr. Shakira Ghazanfar got Ph. D. degree in 2016 in Microbiology/Animal Probiotic from QAU Pakistan. She is working as SSO, in NARC, Pakistan since 2010. She is regarded among the pioneers, who have initiated Animal Probiotic research to improve livestock productivity in Pakistan. One of her key project was she successfully WIN a mega “PARB 1002” project (worth Rupee 19.86 Millions), from to develop the Animal Probiotic to Improve Nilli Ravi buffalo Milk Yield (Pakistan’s first whole genomic characterized indigenous Probiotic for buffalo use). An important achievement of her career is that she is working for first time in the history of the country on the whole genome sequence (WGS) of lactic acid bacteria isolated from Nilli Ravi Buffalo gut and other Pakistani ecology.
